a big sigh, my tablet pen broke..

im actually really upset, its abig part of my art, my intuous 3 was given to me by an awesome friend

the replacement pens are so expensive, i dunno what to doo, i can;t afford it, i just can;t

and i am upset.

for some reason it feels like ive lost somethingg, creatively

i literally just finished

over at

and iw ent to go work on my previous w.i.p

and it snappedd

prices go from 40 UK pounds to 76 UK pounds to replace it

I JUST CANT and it saddens me, so no more digital art until i can get the pen replaced!

i'd be greatful if any of you guys could help donate towards it but its ok if not!

JUST NEEDED TO VENT MY UPSETNESS!

wow! pens cost that much?!
i got my first GT about 2 years ago, it was a wacom volito 2, one of the cheapest you can get, and it's perfect!
more expensive ones generally offer 3 things:
bigger (but i've tried bigger ones and they make NO difference)
more buttons (pointless)
more pressure sensitivity (not even noticable)
my volito2 was £40
my dad got another GT for himself, but he couldn't work it, so i've started using it cos my wacom was playing up
it was like £25
you should get a cheap one like that

cos it works perfectly well, it's really nice, and it has more buttons than my wacom
there isn't much point splashing out
and if the pen is that expensive, you could get a nice cheap one until you can afford a new pen, and then sell the cheap one

Contact Wacom and ask which model pens are compatible with your tablet. Some pens work with a number of tablets. Then go to eBay and see it you can find it new or used. If it's an older model, you may be able to buy the tablet and pen on eBay for what you'll pay Wacom for just the pen.

I don't know if your in college but if you are, abuse the student discounts! There are tons of sites that sell hardware and software with hugh discounts to students with valid school i.d.'s. If you have one, take advantage of it!!!
