:iconkirilee: kirilee  Is where you will find none other than Australia based Kirilee herself, in numerous disguises (Quite possibly holding something sharp and pointy!)!! We jumped a few time zones and got her to answer our questions for the Stock & Resources Project Educate Week.

What were your first artistic influences, and did they have a hand in the development of your resources?

To be honest, unlike most stock providers I am not coming from a visual art background. In fact, I'm not very good at drawing compared to others at all. However, I come from a performing background - theatre mainly, but a bit of dance too. For me, being a character is so freeing - though I go through dry spells when I'm not on stage. My friend told me one day about stock when complaining I hadn't played a character in a while and invited me to come and play with her for a day. Since then I have been hooked. I love sewing, putting together costumes and characters... it is just like performing, but only one frame at a time of a silent film.

Whats one of the most rewarding aspects for you as a resource provider?

Seeing the work that is created from the stock. It is so humbling (and exciting) when you get the message letting you know your stock has been used. There is nothing better then seeing a piece of artwork that you either inspired or at least contributed to. Art inspiring art - it doesn't get any better in my books.

Whats the one thing you find the most frustrating about being a resource provider?

Trolls. Unfortunately there are a number of people who get a kick out of leaving messages like "You are so fat - Nobody wants to see that" and "I want to lick your feet" - those types of messages. Generally I don't reply, I just click hide comment and block the user. Still, it leaves a bit of a sting.

Do you have a favourite resource in your gallery, can you tell us why its a favourite?

That is near impossible. I would say it is a toss up between Pink Elven 1 and Angels Don't Wait 1.
Pink Elven 1 was taken by Jessica (AKA. faestock ) and was for the the first time that I saw something I didn't know could be captured from me as the model - it was a grace and beauty - which I have never considered myself to be.
Angels Don't Wait 1 was taken by Nichelle (AKA. charligal-stock ) and is a similar story. It was also the first photo that had ever been touched up of me and I was so flattered by the outcome.
I learnt so much (and am continuing to learn) from these two ladies. They are both amazing women and artists.

Your stock gets used for a huge variety of artwork, do you have any favourites?

Fantasy. I love anything that puts my image into a setting that there is no way I could ever actually ever exist in.
(Hence why I am currently running a fantasy contest :P)

Last but not least, what flavour cupcake are you?

Chocolate ripple, with white and milk chocolate chunks, topped with chocolate icing. :)
